Uninstall or update virtualization, emulator, anti-cheat and system-tuning software, update drivers, test RAM with mdsched.exe, and run DISM and sfc /scannow.

What CRITICAL_STRUCTURE_CORRUPTION means

PatchGuard watches important kernel structures. If anything modifies them, deliberately (old hooking drivers) or accidentally (memory corruption), Windows halts with CRITICAL_STRUCTURE_CORRUPTION.

Signs of the problem

  • Blue screen: “Stop code: CRITICAL_STRUCTURE_CORRUPTION”.
  • Often appears minutes after boot or randomly.

Common causes

  • Kernel-hooking drivers (old VM software, emulators, anti-cheat).
  • Faulty RAM.
  • Corrupted drivers or system files.

Fixes to try, in order

  1. Remove kernel-hooking softwareUpdate or uninstall emulators, old VirtualBox/VMware versions, anti-cheat and tuning tools.
  2. Update driversChipset, graphics and storage from manufacturers.
  3. Test RAMRun mdsched.exe.
  4. Repair WindowsRun DISM and SFC.

Command

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
sfc /scannow

Elevated Command Prompt; restart afterwards.

Check it's fixed: No recurrence over several days.

Prevent it from coming back

Keep virtualization and anti-cheat software current.
